REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Soccer team (1-12-2, 1-8-1 SCIAC) picked up their first win of the season in an offensive performance against the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) with a season-high three goals in a 3-0 win on senior day at Farquhar Field.
Seven of the first nine shots of the game came from the Bulldogs as Sabrina Semmere (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) put three shots on target. That third look found the back of the net as Caprial Loescher (Portland, OR) and CJ Akroush (Pasadena, CA) picked up the assists for Redlands' first goal since October 1 against California Lutheran University.
Madeline Tetens (San Diego, CA) and Akroush each had their attempts saved in the first nine minutes of the second half before Natalie Turiace (San Dimas, CA) slipped a ball to Claire August (Mountlake Terrace, WA) who squared a ball across the face of the goal to Loescher who scored to make it 2-0 in the 56th minute.
Once again Tetens and Akroush put shots on target that the Beaver keeper was able to save. But in the 66th minute Turiace took a ball off a short hop and found the upper 90 of the goal on a volley finish for the 3-0 scoreline. The pass came off Hannah Rice's (Portland, OR) corner kick.
The Bulldogs have now taken points in all three of their games where they have tallied multiple goals.
Redlands will finish their 2025 season with a pair of road games this week. They are at the University of La Verne on Wednesday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m.
