2025 CSC Softball Academic All-District Release
AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 Softball Academic All-District selections and earning the honor for the University of Redlands was Isabella Culp (Bayliss, CA), Brianna Garcia (Riverside, CA), Jenay Scott (Merced, CA), Kassidy Long (Hemet, CA), and Paige Messenlehner (Easton, CA).
Athletes are selected based upon their performance on the field and in the classroom.
Culp is a three-time selection. Through the NCAA Super Regional round, she is hitting .308 with a .413 on-base percentage (OBP). She has four home runs, 24 runs batted in (RBI), and 18 runs scored. Behind the plate she has caught seven runners trying to steal with only one error in 147 chances for a .993 fielding percentage. She also graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
Garcia makes the team for the second-straight season. She has thrown 34.2 innings across five starts and 14 appearances. She has a 4-3 record with a save and only four extra base hits allowed. She is currently majoring in Psychology.
Scott makes the team in her first eligible season. She leads the team in hitting at .467 and OBP at .524. Those are the sixth and ninth highest marks in single-season program history. She is currently a Liberal Studies major.
Long makes the team for the first time in the midst of her strongest season. She is second on the team in batting at .407, OBP at .504, doubles with 14, and fourth in RBI's with 34. Her 14 doubles are 10th-most in single-season history. This year she graduated with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Messenlehner joins Culp as a three-time selection. She is also a finalist for the CSC Academic All-American team, which will be announced in June. As the leadoff hitter she is hitting .388 (3rd), with a .452 OBP (6th), 62 hits (1st), 36 RBI's (3rd), 36 stolen bases (2nd), and 52 runs scored (1st). Her 62 hits are ninth-most in single-season history, 36 steals are second-most, and 52 runs scored are fifth. This year she graduated with a degree in Psychology.
The Bulldogs begin the NCAA Division III Women's College World Series with Trine University Thursday, May 29 at 4:30 p.m. pacific daylight time.
