Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Redlands Men's Soccer falls 2-0 to Claremont-M-S

REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's Soccer team (3-5-1, 1-2-0 SCIAC) began their home Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) schedule Saturday afternoon at Farquhar Field falling 2-0 to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps after managing just three shots.

The first and only shot on goal for the Bulldogs came off the head of Anders Beckton (Seattle, WA) in the 17th minute forcing the first save of the game.

Following four shots from the Stags, one of which required a save by Brady Bachman (San Diego, CA), CMS took the 1-0 lead in the 39th minute.

The Bulldogs stood strong in the first 10 minutes of the second 45 as they withstood another six shots.

Bachman made four saves in the second half, but on what would have needed to be his fifth save, the Stags found the far corner of the goal to secure the win in the 87th minute.

Redlands was outshot 21-3, had only one shot on goal to the seven for the Stags, and earned one corner to the six for CMS.

Next Wednesday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m. the Bulldogs make the long trip to Thousand Oaks, CA to take on California Lutheran University (CLU).
