McMINNVILLE, Ore. – The University of Redlands Women's Soccer team (0-3-1) wrapped up their trip to Oregon Sunday with a 2-0 loss at Linfield University.
Sabrina Semmere (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) took an early shot forcing a save in the opening four minutes before Nicole Immoos (San Luis Obispo, CA) had a save of her own in the 10th minute.
Gianna Alati (Lake Oswego, OR) also tested the goalkeeper and Immoos made another save to keep the game scoreless in the final minute of the first half.
The Wildcats scored the game-winning goal in the 57th minute. They added an insurance goal in the 77th.
Immoos allowed the Bulldogs a chance to get back in the game with four more saves in the second 45:00, but Mikaela Foster's (Temecula, CA) shot to the bottom left of the goal was the lone shot on target in the second half as the U of R came up short.
The Bulldogs are back in Redlands for a non-conference game against The Master's University on Saturday, September 13 at 5:30 p.m.
