FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The University of Redlands Indoor Track and Field teams returned to competition for the first time in nearly two months at the Ron Mann Classic hosted by University of Northern Arizona (NAU) Friday where the Bulldogs posted 17 Top-10 marks with Christian Ferguson (San Diego, CA) leading the contingent by resetting his Weight Throw school record.
Men
Ferguson took third in the Weight Throw with a second throw of 17.80m/58' 4.75", which improved upon his school record mark.
Jaiden Coleman (Las Vegas, NV) took fifth in the final of the 60m (6.93) and 10th in the Long Jump final (6.67m/21' 10.75"). His 60m time is an improvement of his second-fastest time in program history and his Long Jump mark is third all-time.
Other Top-10 times and marks came from Roman Juni (San Jose, CA) who took 10th in the Triple Jump with the fifth-best mark in program history (12.98m/42' 7"), James Felio (San Jacinto, CA) who posted the seventh-best Shot Put throw (12.55m/41' 2.25"), Michael Alvarado Gonzales (Fontana, CA) with the ninth-best Shot Put (12.24m, 40' 2") mark, then Ty Murga (Indio, CA) (14.14m), Odis Hamer (Phelan, CA) (13.25m), and Derek Delgado (Fullerton, CA) (12.59m) who had the second, third, and sixth-best weight throws, respectively.
Women
The Bulldog women had eight Top-10 marks. Aniah Perry (Victorville, CA) had two of them, posting the eighth-fastest time in the 60m (7.99) and the fourth-fastest time in the 200m (26.49).
Sabrina Semmere (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) ran a 7.93 and set the fifth-fastest 60m time. Abi Ibarra (Littleton, CO) set the ninth-fastest 200m time (26.76), Leilani Mayne (Calexico, CA) ran the eighth-fastest 60m Hurdle time (9.64), Shaylee Heron (Payson, AZ) posted the ninth-best Long Jump mark (4.91m, 16' 1.5"), and two throwers, Sophia Gerken (Peoria, AZ) and Devyn Jessica Zizzo-Kaleo (Mililani, HI), had the third and sixth-best Weight Throws at 11.49m/37' 8.5" and 8.16m/26' 9.25".
The Bulldogs continue their indoor season in Spokane, Washington for the Whitworth University Invitational on February 13-14.
