2025-26 All-SCAIC Men's Basketball Awards Release
LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the All-SCIAC Awards for men's basketball and being named SCIAC Athlete of the Year for the University of Redlands is Lucas Gordon.
He was also named a first-team All-SCIAC selection for the second time after earning it last season as well. His SCIAC Athlete of the Year honor is the fifth in program history and the first since Josiah Brensdal in 2012-13.
Gordon averaged 14.3 points per game (PPG), the eighth highest mark in SCIAC play. He finished third in rebounding with nine per game and was fourth in blocks at 1.3 and tied for 15th with 1.2 steals. Additionally, he was the third most efficient scorer, shooting 59.2 percent from the field.
His best individual performances came at California Lutheran University (CLU) when he had five blocks which ended up being the most by anyone in SCIAC play. In that same road game he had 12 rebounds, the third-highest total. He also shot 71.4 percent against that CLU team in a home game at the beginning of January.
Gordon and the Bulldogs will begin SCIAC Tournament play tomorrow evening as they host No. 4 seed Occidental College at 7 p.m. inside Currier Gymnasium.
