WHITTIER, Calif. – The University of Redlands Track and Field teams won Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Quad Cup No. 2 by 64 points in the men's standings and 71 in the women's.
Men
The Bulldogs scored 192 points beating out California Lutheran University (CLU), California Institute of Technology (Caltech), University of La Verne, and host Whittier College.
Notable finishes came from Jude Holling (Sylmar, CA) in the 400m Hurdles (54.25), which he won and scoring 10 points. His time moved him into ninth place all-time. Adding to his great day was a win in the 110m Hurdles (14.92) along with wins in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
The 4x100 relay team consisted of Jeremiah Williams (Desert Hot Springs, CA), Holling, Jaiden Coleman (Las Vegas, NV), and Tyler Levonduskie (San Jose, CA). Their time of 42.18 was more than two seconds faster than La Verne.
The 4x400 relay team of Coleman, Holling, Levonduskie, and Matthew Farnsworth (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) won by 3.50 seconds (3:21.14) and added another 10 points to the team's total.
Other event wins came from Stian Asper (St. Paul, MN) in the 800m (1:56.92), Farnsworth in the 1500m (4:06.10), Roman Juni (San Jose, CA) in the Triple Jump (13.49m, 44' 3 ¼"), Odis Hamer (Victorville, CA) in the Discus (39.28m, 128' 10"), and Christian Ferguson (San Diego, CA) in the Hammer (53.18m, 174' 6").
Women
On the women's side they took the win over California Lutheran University and were 160 points clear of Caltech, 170 points from La Verne, and 187 ahead of Whittier.
The best performance of the meet came from the 4x400 relay team of Faith Kasper (Menifee, CA), Madison Schaefer (Portland, OR), Elisabeth Eichinger (Yucaipa, CA), and Sabrina Semmere (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) who combined for a time of 3:56.79, which is the eighth best time in program history.
Semmere also won the 100m (12.39), Sabrina Tanouye (Elkhart Lake, WI) won the 200m (26.04), Kasper took the 400m win (58.57), Leilani Mayne (Calexico, CA) won the 100m Hurdles (15.45), the 4x100 relay team of Tanouye, Aniya Jefferson (San Bernardino, CA), Semmere, and Eichinger won the race in 48.49, Mari Evonuk (Sherwood, OR) won the High Jump (1.62m, 5' 3 ¾"), Eichinger won the Long Jump (5.08m, 16' 8"), Ellie Mann (Portland, OR) took the Shot Put (10.80m, 35' 5 ¼"), Sophia Gerken (Peoria, AZ) won the Discus (39.16m, 128' 6"), and Keegan Sherry (Edmonds, WA) won the Javelin (33.80m, 110' 11").
Redlands will send multi-athletes to Berkeley for the Brutus Hamilton Invitational hosted by the University of California, Berkeley on Thursday-Friday, April 2-3 with the rest of the team's next competition coming on April 11 at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite.
