LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the 2026 men's tennis All-SCIAC awards with Gustavo Marcanth (Redondo Beach, CA) and Vitomir Petcov (Portland, OR) making the 2nd Team for the University of Redlands.
This is the third consecutive season with at least two selections for the Bulldogs.
Marcanth is now a three-time All-SCIAC selection. During SCIAC play he went 3-3 as the Bulldogs No. 2 in singles with wins over then No. 56 Occidental College, No. 55 Chapman University, and California Lutheran University (CLU). He is currently ranked No. 19 in singles within the West Region.
Petcov earns All-SCIAC recognition for the first time in his career. He was the Bulldog No. 1, going 4-2 with wins over Occidental, No. 37 California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Chapman, and CLU. His lone losses were to No. 16 Pomona-Pitzer and No. 1 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS). In doubles he was also 4-2 as the No. 1 with MJ Abarca (San Diego, CA). He currently ranks No. 9 in the West Region in singles and No. 4 in doubles, while holding a national ranking in singles at No. 49 and No. 11 in doubles.
Marcanth, Petcov, and the Bulldogs take on No. 2 Pomona-Pitzer in the SCIAC Tournament Semifinal tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Claremont.
