Provenzano, Holshoe, Garcia, Fujii, and Lowthers named to CSC Academica All-District team

AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2026 softball Academic All-District teams with Avery Provenzano (San Jose, CA), Maya Holshoe (Redlands, CA), Brianna Garcia (Riverside, CA), Saya Fujii (San Jose, CA), and Natalie Lowthers (Wrightwood, CA) earning the recognition for the University of Redlands.

Provenzano, a first-time eligible player, is a Business Administration major. She is currently hitting .331 with a .397 on-base percentage (OBP) during her second season with the Bulldogs. Additionally, she had 14 extra base hits (XBH) and 35 runs batted in (RBI), the fourth most on the team.

Holshoe, a first-time selection, is a Psychology major and plans to attend graduate school and become a School Psychologist. As a senior, and her first season as a regular starter, she has a .339 average with a .376 OBP. Her 32 RBI's are sixth on the team.

The first returning selection is Garcia who earns the honor for the third time in her career.  She is a Psychology major and plans to attend California State University, Northridge (CSUN) this fall to pursue her Master's in School Psychology. During her final season as a Bulldog, she has a 2.47 earned run average (ERA) across 39.2 innings. She has a 4-1 record and one of the Bulldogs' nine saves.

Fujii is also a first-time selection. She is a Johnston student with a major in Video Editing and English. During her sophomore season she has a .286 average. As the primary shortstop, she has the second most assists on the team with 84 along with 39 put outs and four double plays.

Lowthers, in her second and final season with Redlands, earns academic recognition for the first time. She is a Business Administration major and plans to return to Redlands to earn her Master's in Business Administration with an Emphasis on Marketing. Her .393 average is the fourth highest on the team. Her 17 doubles are tied for the most on the team and second most in single-season program history. She also has 36 RBI's and the most XBH's with 22.

These five and the Bulldogs begin their run at the NCAA Division III Women's College World Series (WCWS) tomorrow morning, Thursday, May 28 in Virginia against the No. 4 seed Linfield University at 10:30 a.m. pacific time.
