Following Friday's exciting come-from-behind win over Menlo
College, the University of Redlands men's basketball team took to
the road to face non-conference rival Chapman University.
Despite shooting 42.2% from the floor, the Bulldogs came up short
against the Panthers, losing 55-64.
Redlands sat just two points back at the half but then the
Panthers converted their opportunities at the charity stripe to
gain the nine-point win at the final whistle. In addition,
Chapman out-rebounded the Bulldogs by 10, gaining 13 points off
second chances to go along with a three-point margin off of
turnovers.
The Bulldogs looked to sophomore guard Patrick Coffey (San
Carlos, CA) to lead the team with 14 points while adding four
assists. Senior forward Matt Loretz (Los Altos, CA) added 12
points as sophomore Justin Sobczyk (Palm Desert, CA) came up with
11.
Redlands looks forward to hosting BIOLA University on Saturday,
November 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Currier Gym.
