The No. 25 University of Redlands men's soccer team found its offensive rhythm in the second half of Saturday night's contest at Farquhar Field, registering five netters en route to a 6-0 victory over the Whittier College Poets. Senior forward Cody Carlson (Burbank, CA) stole the show by recording a hat trick in a 26-minute span during the final stanza.

With tonight's solid performance, the Bulldogs have notched 11 consecutive wins, including eight shutouts, and remain comfortably at the top of the conference standings.

Freshman forward Charles Izydorek (Redlands, CA) initiated the Bulldogs' scoring when he unleashed a goal with only 32 seconds remaining in the opening half. Izydorek has now landed on the stat sheet in three successive games for a total of eight points.

After the halftime break, the Bulldogs came out firing and tallied three scores in a span of less than five minutes.

A four-year striker for the Maroon and Gray, Carlson struck home back-to-back goals by punching in the first out of jumble in front of the goal and then placing the second in the top-right corner off of a penalty kick.

Sophomore midfielder Pat Roraff (Redlands, CA) scored his second netter at Farquhar Field in as many games for the squad's 4-0 advantage in the 52^nd minute.

Carlson capped off his second-half hat trick at the 72:41-mark with a one-touch score into the low-left side of the Poets' net, resulting in his team-leading 10th goal of 2011.

Freshman midfielder Grahame Fitz (Menlo Park, CA) sealed the deal for the squad with his first collegiate goal, which came in the 84^th minute.

Sophomore goalkeeper Andreas Silva (San Jose, CA) picked up three saves between the pipes for his 11^th victory of the season.

The Bulldogs (13-3-0, 10-0-0) strive to keep their conference unbeaten streak alive on Wednesday when they battle it out with the Tigers of Occidental College in a 7 p.m. tilt at Farquhar Field.
