WHITTIER, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Tennis team showed off their depth Tuesday afternoon in a lopsided 9-0 win over Whittier College on the road within Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play.

The Bulldogs have stretched their winning streak to three matches and have won two in a row within SCIAC competition as they move to 6-2, 2-0 SCIAC.

It was quick sweep of doubles at the Richard Ettinger Tennis Courts as the Maroon and Grey dropped a combined five games between all three spots.  Kendall Bolock (Yucaipa, CA) and Olivia Rockwood (Park City, UT) blanked their opponents at the top spot 8-0, Kiana Brady (Hermosa Beach, CA) and Christine O'Brien (Leawood, KS) ran away with their match at No. 2 8-3 and Mia Goldstein (Ann Arbor, MI) and Gabby Rockwood (Park city, UT) would cruise at No. 3 8-2.

After going up quickly 3-0 UR made a couple substitutions to show off their depth taking out Bolock and Brady at No. 1 and No. 3 singles.  In their ensuing singles lineup the Bulldogs put out three freshmen and had three matches that finished 6-0, 6-0. L. Rockwood moved up to No. 1 and she had no problem winning 6-1, 6-3 over Jasmine Saunders.  First-year Goldstein was then pushed up to No. 2 and she bageled her opponent 6-0, 6-0.  O'Brien made quick work of Maci Davis at No. 3 winning 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3.  Madison Sherwood (Las Vegas, NV) had no problems at No. 4 sweeping her opponent in straights, while keeping her off the scoreboard winning 6-0, 6-0.

First-year Karly Rojas (Poulsbo, WA) was put into the lineup for the second time this season at No. 5 and despite having the closest match all afternoon was able to pull it out 6-4, 7-5.  The last match to score came from first-year Eve Laurent (Portland, OR) who made her collegiate debut taking out Emily List at No. 6 bageling her as well 6-0, 6-0 wrapping up the clean sweep for the U of R.
