2024 University of Redlands Track and Field Schedule
REDLANDS, Calif. – University of Redlands Men's and Women's Track and Field Head Coach Mike Schmidt released his 2024 schedule Wednesday with the team opening up their indoor schedule at the Northern Arizona University Ron Mann Invitational on Friday-Saturday, February 2-3. UR will open their outdoor season at the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers Meet on Saturday, February 17. Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) competition starts on the road with multi-dual No. 1 at the California Institute of Technology on Saturday, March 2.
In 2024 the Bulldogs currently have 20 meets on their schedule, including the NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor Championships. They will host three meets including one SCIAC Multi-Dual. Their first home invite inside Ted Runner Stadum will be the Redlands Invitational on March 15, followed by SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 2 on March 30, and then ending the opportunities to qualify for nationals will be the Redlands Final Qualifier on May 15.
After the Ron Mann meet, Redlands will head up to Eastern Washington for the Whitworth Invitational on Feb. 9-10. It is an indoor meet. Redlands will then return to Flagstaff, AZ on February 16 for the NAU Tune-Up. After the Pomona-Pitzer meet the Bulldogs will travel to the Midwest for a qualifier and invitational on March 1-2. Both meets are hosted by Wartburg College.
Following SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 1 is the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships held in Virginia Beach, Virginia on Friday-Saturday, March 8-9. The Bulldogs return home for the Redlands Invite before taking the short trip to Riverside for the two-day UC Riverside Spring Break Multis on March 22-23.
The season continues inside Ted Runner with the SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 2 before they head out to the Jim Click Multi-Events in Tucson, AZ, hosted by the University of Arizona on April 5.
At the same time as the Jim Clicks Meet will be the Whittier Twilight Meet and that Saturday, April 6 Redlands will send athletes to Claremont for the Pomona-Pitzer Invite.
On April 13 the Maroon and Grey will be in Azusa for the Brian Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University (APU). While some will be at APU, other athletes will go to Whittier for SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 3.
After a two week break all nine SCIAC programs will send their teams to Pomona-Pitzer for the 2024 SCIAC Track and Field Championships. It is a two-day competition, which begins on Saturday, April 27 and ends Sunday, April 28.
The final three meets to post times and marks for the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships will be at the Occidental Invitational on May 4, the APU Franson Last Chance Meet on May 10-11, and then the Redlands Final Qualifier on May 15-16.
The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships are taking place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from Thursday, May 23 through Sunday, May 26.

- NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships (Mar. 8-9, Virginia Beach, Va.): Ciara Aw was named an All-America in the long jump after finishing sixth in 2023.
- Redlands Invitational (Mar. 15, Ted Runner Stadium): 20 total Top-8 finishes in 2023.
- UC Riverside Spring Break Multis (Mar. 22, Riverside): First appearance as of 2006.
- SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 2 (Redlands) (Mar. 30, Ted Runner Stadium): A combined 56 athletes were Top-3 finishers with another 22 winning their respective events last season.
- Jim Clicks Multi-Events (Apr. 4-5, Tucson, Ariz.): Ella Bachmeier was 14th in the Heptathlon and Jacob Huset was ninth in the Decathlon in 2023.
- Whittier Twilight (Apr. 5, Whittier): Four wins and 17 Top-3 finishers last year.
- Pomona-Pitzer Invite (Apr. 6, Claremont): 19 Bulldogs posted Top-8 finishes while there were three event wins.
- Brian Clay Invitational (APU) (Apr. 13, Azusa): Last appeared in 2022 when Tucker Cargile took third in the 1500m and posted a new school record.
- SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 3 (Whittier) (Apr. 13, Whittier): Both the Bulldog men and women went 4-0 with wins over California Lutheran University, Occidental College, Pomona-Pitzer, and Chapman University.
- SCIAC Championships (Pomona-Pitzer) (Apr. 27-28, Claremont): Men finished third with 95 points and the women were the runners-up with 167. The women were only seven points behind champion Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
- Occidental Invitational (May 4, Los Angeles): In 2023 Redlands had 14 Top-8 finishes in a meet that included all levels of collegiate athletes and professional athletes.
- APU Franson Last Chance Meet (May 10-11, Azusa): Seven Top-8 finishes and seven personal bests. Three of those personal bests were within the Top-20 in Division III.
- Redlands Final Qualifier (May 15-16, Ted Runner Stadium): Four new Top-22 times/marks (Top-22 athletes in their event qualify for nationals).
- NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships (May 23-26, Myrtle Beach, S.C.): Eleven individuals made the championships last season.
