CSC Track and Field/XC Academic All-District Release
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2023-24 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country and Track & Field Academic All-District honorees and making it for the University of Redlands was Wyatt Gibson (San Jose, CA), Nikolas Sorich (San Jose, CA), and Gabriel Meunier (Winslow, AZ).
Gibson is a Global Business major with a Spanish and Spatial Studies minor. He plans to attend graduate school this year to earn his MBA in Marketing. In 2024 he posted personal bests in the Javelin, Discus, and Shot Put. At the 2024 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships he took sixth in the Discus with a personal best of 39.74m (130' 4").
Sorich is majoring in Business Administration. During his junior year he had a plethora of personal bests coming in the Javelin, Decathlon, 400m, 110m Hurdles, 100m, Shot Put, Discus, Pole Vault, and the 1500m. At the SCIAC Championships he took eighth in the Decathlon with a personal best of 4832 points. He also had a personal best in the 400m (53.50) and 110m Hurdles (18.94) during the Decathlon competition.
Meunier is a Psychology major along with an Environmental Studies minor. His eventual post graduate plans are attending graduate school and doing non-profit work. In 2024 he competed at the SCIAC Championships in the 100m and 200m. His best finish was 10th in the 200m (23.88) at SCIAC No. 1.
