2025 Women's Lacrosse Schedule

REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Lacrosse team begins their 2025 season with the difficult task of going on the road and playing defending Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) champion Pomona-Pitzer on February 19 at 7 p.m. in game one of 17 this year.

The Bulldogs play host to nine opponents and travel on the road eight times. 12 of the 17 games are in SCIAC play with six at home and six on the road. The other five games are non-conference with three at Farquhar Field and the other two in Oregon.

Redlands' first opponent, Pomona-Pitzer, went 19-2 and 12-0 in SCIAC as they won the SCIAC Regular Season and Tournament titles. They also made it to the Elite 8 at the NCAA Division III National Championships before losing to eventual national champions Middlebury College.

Following the season opener the Bulldogs come home to Farquhar Field for their home opener on February 26 against California Lutheran University (CLU). The Regals get a return visit on April 12. CLU finished sixth out of the seven teams at 2-10 with a 4-13 overall record.

Occidental College will make it three SCIAC games to start the season for the Maroon and Grey as the Tigers host on February 28. The Bulldogs get the Tigers at Farquhar on April 16. Oxy finished last season tied for third at 7-5 in conference play and went 9-7 overall.

After the trip to Los Angeles, Redlands will get on a plane to Oregon for two games. Their first opponent will be Willamette University on March 3 in Salem. The Bearcats had a very strong season with a 14-4 record and road wins over Occidental and Cal Lutheran.

Two days later the U of R travel north to Portland and play Lewis & Clark College on March 5. The Pioneers completed their first season in program history last year going 1-12 with an 0-3 record against SCIAC teams.

March 8 will be game one of five consecutive home contests over 12 days as the Bulldogs start their home stand with Moravian University. The Greyhounds went 8-10 last season.

A few days later Redlands hosts Alfred University on March 11. The Saxons finished 2024 5-10 overall.

Chapman University will break up the non-conference action on March 15. The Panthers will host in Orange on April 7. The Panthers tied with Oxy for third place at 7-5 in SCIAC and went 9-6 overall with a 7-2 home record and a 2-4 road mark.

Denison University plays the Bulldogs in their final non-conference game of the season on March 18. The Big Red were 15-5 last season with a 5-5 record away from home. They were 2-5 against ranked teams but 13-0 against unranked.

The final match-up of the five-game home stand will be on March 20 against Whittier College. The very next game nine days later is in Whittier against the Poets on March 29. Whittier finished last in the standings as the only team without a win on the season.

Beginning April Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) hosts Redlands on April 2 before the Bulldogs host the Athenas for the season finale on April 24 at Farquhar Field.

Previous Meetings

  • Pomona-Pitzer (17-22): A strong historical record thanks to a seven-game winning streak stretching from 2012-14 before the start of the current 12-game losing streak.
  • Cal Lutheran (7-0): The Bulldogs have never lost to the five-year-old program. All wins have been by double figures.
  • Occidental (15-16): The Bulldogs have lost five-straight.
  • Willamette (0-0): No previous meetings.
  • Lewis & Clark (1-0): Won 22-2 at home last March.
  • Moravian (0-0): No prior meetings.
  • Alfred (0-0): No prior meetings.
  • Chapman (6-18): Won five times between 2013-14 but have lost the last 12.
  • Denison (1-1): Lost 11-9 in 2018 on the road and won 19-9 at home in 2011.
  • Whittier (32-4): Two game winning streak after their first multi-game losing streak came in 2023.
  • Claremont Mudd Scripps (9-30): Have dropped 16 in a row to the Athenas.
