2025 SCIAC Women's Volleyball Awards Release
LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the 2025 All-SCIAC Awards with the University of Redlands' Avery Aminoff (Alexandria, VA) earning the SCIAC Character Award. She is the first Bulldog to earn the distinction since Savannah Casey in 2017.
The SCIAC Character Award is presented to a junior or senior who best exemplifies success on the court, in the classroom, and with involvement in community and school service.
A critical reason behind Redlands' improvement on the court from a one-win season in 2022 to 8-8 and this year's No. 5 seed in the SCIAC Tournament, the two-year captain has been incredibly involved in the classroom and community as well as a thoughtful teammate. Aminoff's volunteer activities include with Totally Kids Rehab Hospital, the Redlands Food Pantry, Ronald McDonald House, Jasper's Corner tutoring and the campus SURF Garden.
During SCIAC play Aminoff ranked sixth on the Bulldogs with 53 kills. She also has 16 digs and the fourth-most total blocks with 22.
Aminoff is a senior who is majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Psychology. She plans to attend graduate school to continue her path towards becoming a speech language pathologist.
