2026 Women's Tennis Schedule
REDLANDS, Calif. – University of Redlands Head Women's Tennis Coach Mike Longanecker officially announced his upcoming 2026 Schedule this week, beginning the season with a doubleheader on February 7 against Ottawa University (Arizona) and Stanton University inside the Coach Jim Verdieck Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs play 20 matches with 16 occuring at home and another four on the road. They play seven Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) matches, four on the road and three at home.
Ottawa finished 10-6 last season. Stanton played their first season as a program in 2025, going 1-2 in countable contests.
On February 16 Bates College travels across the country to play the Bulldogs. The Bobcats were 5-14 last season.
Brandeis University is in town on February 19. The Judges finished 2025 with an 11-7 record. They lost both of their SCIAC matches.
Future SCIAC member Azusa Pacific University (APU) is the Bulldogs' next opponent on February 27. APU dominated their 2025 schedule with a 21-5 record.
Division I Oakland University returns to the Verdieck Tennis Center on March 3. The Golden Grizzlies were 7-10 in 2025 with a 1-0 record against SCIAC teams last spring.
Redlands opens SCIAC competition on the road at Pomona-Pitzer on March 7. The Sagehens were the 2025 SCIAC Champions at 6-0, while posting a 17-8 overall record. The Sagehens lost in the Division III National Championship match against Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), 4-3.
The first New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) opponent Bowdoin College comes to Redlands on March 12. The Polar Bears were 17-6 overall and made it to the NCAA Quarterfinals where they lost to Emory University.
Vassar College is the match-up on March 13. They were 15-6 overall in 2025 with a 2-0 record against SCIAC programs. They ended their season in the NCAA Second Round against Amherst College.
Smith College went 9-10 last season. The Bears and Bulldogs play on March 18.
Previously mentioned Amherst is the second of the Bulldogs' NESCAC opponents on March 20. The Mammoth finished 13-8 last spring. They played five matches against SCIAC teams, finishing 2-3, which included a third-round loss in the NCAA Tournament to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS).
On March 23 Whitworth University comes down from Washington. The Pirates were an even .500 in 2025 at 10-10.
The second to last non-conference match is against the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) on March 23. The Engineers lost just three times last season, going 17-3. Their season ended at Bowdoin in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
In Redlands' return to SCIAC play the Bulldogs travel to Whittier College on March 28. After not competing last season, the Poets return to competition after going 2-14 overall and 0-7 in SCIAC in 2024.
The final non-conference match comes on April 3 against UC Santa Cruz. The Banana Slugs were 13-7 last spring. They went 2-2 against SCIAC teams.
Redlands' first home SCIAC match is against Occidental College on April 4. The Tigers finished sixth in SCIAC at 1-5 and went 9-10 overall.
The Athenas of CMS host Redlands on April 11. CMS finished second in SCIAC play at 5-1 and were 18-4 overall. They lost to Johns Hopkins University in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
Redlands hosts Chapman University on April 18. The Panthers finished 2025 4-11, 0-6 SCIAC and were last in the conference standings.
In the final home match of the regular season, Redlands hosts the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) on April 24. They were fifth in SCIAC at 2-4 and went 8-6 overall.
California Lutheran University (CLU) hosts Redlands on the final day of the regular season, April 25. The Regals were the fourth and final team in the SCIAC Tournament at 3-3. They lost to P-P in the SCIAC Tournament Semi-Finals and finished 7-8 overall.
If the Bulldogs advance, the SCIAC Tournament is April 30 and May 2 at the site of the highest seeds. The NCAA Regional Championships are set for May 8-10.
