MONTEREY PARK, Calif. – The University of Redlands Swimming and Diving teams concluded the 2025 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships in seventh place in the men's standings and eighth place in the women's standings.
Men
The men finished seventh with 264 points.
Garrett Krattiger (Helena, MT) continued his fantastic first championship as he delivered the Bulldogs their first individual event win since 2019 after winning the 200 Back. He won the race by one hundredth of a second, 1:47.65. The time re-breaks the program record he set earlier this season.
In the 100 Free Memphis Gile (Redlands, CA) took eighth in 46.34. His preliminary time of 46.06 is the ninth fastest in program history.
Ethan Chir (Las Vegas, NV) and Davis Wingard (Springfield, OR) took ninth and 19th in the prelims of the 200 Breast. Wingard did not qualify for the final, but his time of 2:08.58 is the ninth fastest in program history. Chir made the final and took 10th with the second fastest time, 2:02.65.
In the 400 Free Relay Krattiger, Kadyn Butcher (Vancouver, WA), Chir, and Gile took seventh with a time of 3:07.13.
Women
The women finished the Championships with 161 points placing eighth.
Lina Matera (Hingham, MA) swam a 2:07.10 and finished eighth in the 200 Back. The time is the seventh fastest in program history. Kileigh Ackerman (Evergreen, CO) took 11th in 2:10.47.
Roxanne Williams (Yucaipa, CA), Matera, Kaile Itow (Morgan Hill, CA), and Avery Wells (Seattle, WA) combined to swim a 3:37.65 placing seventh in the 400 Free Relay.
Krattiger will wait until February 26 to see if his B-Cut of 1:47.65 in the 200 Back will earn him an At-Large selection into the NCAA Division III National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina next month.
