LAUGNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the 2026 men's golf awards with Jay Wing (Riverside, CA) and Cohen Gladheim (Sherwood, OR) earing all-conference honors for the University of Redlands men's golf program.
This extends the Bulldogs streak to 31 consecutive seasons, minus 2020 when no awards were given due to COVID-19, with an All-SCIAC selection. It is also the 30th season in-a-row with multiple selections with 1995 being the most recent with only one representative.
Wing made the 1st Team in his first season with the Maroon and Grey. This is his second All-SCIAC selection after earning 2nd Team honors and SCIAC Newcomer of the Year recognition for the University of La Verne back in 2024. At SCIAC No. 1 this season he tied for 25th with a 153 (75-78) before tying for second a month and half later at SCIAC No. 2 when he shot a 148 (74-74). Three weeks after SCIAC No. 2, he tied for third at the SCIAC Championships with a 206 (66-69-71). His first round 66 tied for the sixth-lowest single round score in program history, though, not his lowest as he tied the program record with a 64 last fall.
Gladheim is a first-time All-SCIAC selection landing on the 2nd Team. He tied for 31st with a 155 (73-82) at SCIAC No. 1 before showing improvement during the windy SCIAC No. 2 event where he tied for 11th with a 156 (82-74). Capping off the season, and earning himself all-conference honors, he took 13th with a 214 (72-69-73) at the SCIAC Championships.
The Bulldogs season as a team ended after the SCIAC Championships, but Wing is likely to receive an individual bid for the NCAA Division III National Championships in Florida in just over a week as he currently ranks as the No. 20 player in the country with the Top-10 individuals not on a qualifying team earn bids. Full details will be added to the website schedule when the selections are made.
