NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced their 2026 NCAA Division III PING All-America teams with Jay Wing (Riverside, CA) of the University of Redlands earning Honorable Mention honors.
Wing makes it three-straight seasons with at least one Bulldog on the GCAA All-America teams. He is one of only 53 golfers across the country to earn the honor.
During his first season with the Bulldogs, he won the CA State Intercollegiate last September when he shot a 198 (64-67-67). His 64 tied the program record for the lowest score and his 67's are tied for 23rd.
During the spring season he was the runner-up at the CLU Kingsmen Invitational with a 142 (71-71). Then at Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament No. 2 in Beaumont, he shot a 148 (74-74) and tied for second.
Completing the regular season, he tied for third at the SCIAC Championships with a 206 (66-69-71), which sealed his place in the NCAA Division III National Championships. His first round 66 is tied for the sixth-lowest in program history. His finish also earned him All-SCIAC 1st Team honors.
Then as an individual at the NCAA Championships, he finished with a 147 (72-75) across two rounds missing the individual cut by a single stroke.
On the season he averaged 71.44 per round, the fourth-lowest average in single-season program history.
Wing was a junior this past season and has a year of eligibility remaining with the fall season beginning in September.
