VENTURA, Calif. – The University of Redlands men's golf team played their first 36 holes of the 2026-27 season at Olivas Links Golf Club at the CA State Intercollegiate Monday where they currently sit in fourth place after shooting a 280-291 (571).
Through one round the Bulldogs were in second place, only four strokes back of defending national champion Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS). After dropping 11 more strokes during round two, Redlands dropped into fourth place with Pomona-Pitzer and Occidental College jumping them, though, the Bulldogs are only 13 strokes back of CMS and three of the Sagehens.
Jay Wing (Riverside, CA) and Cohen Gladheim (Sherwood, OR) are the Bulldog co-leaders in a tie for eighth. Wing shot a 141 (69-72). During round one he had five pars and two bogeys, but an additional two bogeys, with one double, cost him an extra three strokes as he is now 10 strokes back of the lead but only three out of second place.
Gladheim also has a 141 (71-70). During his opening 18 holes he had 15 pars, two birdies, and a bogey. It was slightly more up and down in the second 18 as he managed seven pars with three bogeys and two doubles.
Charles Hageman (Lake Oswego, OR) shot a 143 (70-73) and is tied for 16th. He tallied five pars in his first collegiate round and followed it up with two more in the second 18 as he used six consecutive pars to end his round to overcome three bogeys.
The final scorer was Cade Lee (West Linn, OR) with a 146 (70-76), which places him 27th. His first round in college was highly successful, shooting four birdies with 12 pars. He had only two more bogeys during round two, but no birdies to offset them.
Himmat Singh (Santa Barbara, CA) played as the Bulldog fifth shooting a 151 (77-74), which included a pair of birdies coming during his second round along with 24 pars. The one hiccup came on Hole 16 where he shot a double. Kasha Petasky (San Diego, CA) played as an individual in his first collegiate event and currently its in a tie for 49th after shooting a 155 (75-80). He got off to a strong start collecting three birdies in his opening round, but posted four bogey's and a double that caused him to shoot +3 over. He then followed up with a second round where he posted just one birdie and a pair of double bogey's.
Redlands tees off at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning as they finish the third and final round.
