Six Redlands Women's Soccer players selected CSC Academic All-District

2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Soccer All-District Release

AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024 Women's Soccer Academic All-District members with CJ Akroush (Pasadena, CA), Gianna Alati (Lake Oswego, OR), Avery Bergschneider (Denver, CO), Sami Salinas (Foothill Ranch, CA), Shannon Stewart (San Jose, CA), and Kelsey Williams (Murrieta, CA) earning the honor.

Akroush makes her first all-district appearance. She was the lone All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) selection for the Bulldogs earlier this year and was selected to the All-Region X Team after leading the team with six goals, two assists, and 14 points. She is an HMS: Health, Medicine, and Society major and plans to attend graduate school to become a Physical Therapist.

Alati is a second-time selection after earning it last season. She played in 18 games with eight starts. During her junior year she scored her first career goal and added an assist for three points. Alati is an Environmental Studies major and plans to work within the Environmental Consulting and Renewable Energy Industry.

Making her third consecutive all-district team is Bergschneider. She ends her career with a season where she started 13 times and played 932 minutes. She helped the Bulldogs' defense post four shutouts this season. Bergschneider is an HMS: Health, Medicine, and Society major and plans to attend Physical Therapy school after taking a gap year.

Salinas makes her second all-district team. She had a shortened senior season after not being available to begin the year. She still managed three goals and an assist despite only making three starts after making a combined 47 starts her first three seasons. Salinas is a Political Science and Public Policy double major and plans to move to Washington D.C. to work for Lutheran Services in America.

Stewart joins many of her teammates with her second all-district selection. She finished her junior year with 1430 minutes played in goal, 81 saves, seven wins, and five shutouts. Her saves are the eighth-most in program history and her minutes, shutouts, and wins are career highs. She is a Liberal Studies and Religious Studies double major and plans to earn her master's degree in education and become a special education teacher after graduation.

Willams is also a second-time all-district selection. She played and started a career-high 19 games with a career-best offensive season. She scored three goals and assisted on another two, both career highs. Williams is a Communication Sciences and Disorders major and plans to become a Speech Pathologist after graduating.
