SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Golf team completed their fall schedule with a fifth-place finish at The Hollins Cup Tuesday afternoon at Pasatiempo Country Club.
The Bulldogs shot the fourth-best second round and finished with a 642 (325-317). They end the invitational 37 strokes behind event-winner Emory University, 16 behind Pomona-Pitzer (P-P), 11 back of Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), and one stroke off fourth place Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS).
Jizelle Robledo (Fontana, CA) made the second-biggest improvement in round two as she shot an even 72 advancing up 15 positions into a tie for third place with a 152 (80-72). She had a very strong day, shooting 12 pars and three birdies.
In a tie for 18th was Chloe Phan (Milpitas, CA) who shot 162 (79-83). She had eight bogeys through 13 holes before finishing strong with pars on four of her final five.
Kylie McGrath (Renton, WA) and Savanah Christenson (Upland, CA) tied for 22nd. McGrath had a 164 (83-81). She had finished with a total of seven pars and two birdies. Christenson had an 83 and 81. She parred 11 holes, which included pars on three of her final four holes.
Taking 35th place was Cecili Hayes (Vancouver, WA) with a 171 (88-83). She had two birdies with a string of seven holes during the middle of her round where she had five pars and a birdie.
Redlands wraps up their fall schedule and will return in the spring for the second half of their season.
