USTFCCCA Indoor Regional Awards Release
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Regional Awards and earning West Region Women's Coach of the Year (COTY) recognition was University of Redlands Head Track & Field Coach Mike Schmidt.
This is Schmidt's second indoor COTY award. He earned the same distinction, but on the men's side, back in 2020 when he led the Bulldogs to the No. 2 ranking in the West Region.
This year the Bulldog women's indoor team finished the season ranked fourth in the west. At the NCAA Indoor Championships, they had three All-Americans: Maigan Adams (Los Angeles, CA) in the Triple Jump (2nd Team), Ella Bachmeier (Rancho Capistrano, CA) in the Pentathlon (2nd Team), and Mari Evonuk (Sherwood, OR) in the High Jump (2nd Team).
Four Bulldogs were named USTFCCCA All-Region performers across seven events: Adams (Long Jump and Triple Jump), Bachmeier (60m Hurdles and Pentathlon), Evonuk (High Jump and Pentathlon), and Elisabeth Eichinger (Yucaipa, CA) (Pentathlon).
Overall, 34 new Top-10 times/marks in program history were set, including two new program records: Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR) in the Mile (5:05.79) and Adams in the Triple Jump (11.94m, 39' 2.25").
