LOS ANGELES – The University of Redlands Track and Field teams continued their outdoor season with the Occidental Distance Carnival Saturday.
Men
Ronan Byrne (Portola Valley, CA) ran a 1:54.18 finishing ninth in the 800m. David Huggins (Texarkana, TX) ran a 31:39.83 in the 10,000m as he recorded the fifth fastest time in program history and Joseph O'Donnell (Fullerton, CA) took third in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:57.51.
Women
Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR) took eighth in the 800m (2:13.91), Eve Mavy (Thayne, WY) was 10th in the 1500m (4:48.55) with a personal best time, and Kiera Beyer (Beaverton, OR) ran the ninth fastest time in program history in the 5000m (18:18.64).
In the 10,000m Abigail (AJ) Johnson (Westborough, MA) ran a 38:11.41 and finished seventh as she moved into third place in program history. Sarah Benitez (Sylmar, CA) improved her time in the event as well, running a 40:10.15, the eighth best time.
Redlands comes home for the first time this spring as they host the Redlands Invitational on Friday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m. inside Ted Runner Stadium on Ashel Cunningham Track.
