COSTA MESA, Calif. – The No. 13 ranked University of Redlands Men's Golf team shot 16 under par during Round 2 currently sitting 25 strokes under par with a 551 (279-272).

They hold a 13-stroke lead over No. 24 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS), 14 over No. 30 California Lutheran University (CLU), and 15 over No. 19 Pomona-Pitzer.

Aaron Buck (Tualatin, OR) and Jake Yim (Lake Oswego, OR) tied for the second best second round as they both shot 66's. Buck's big day moved him into second place overall with a 138 (72-66). His 66 is tied for the fifth-lowest single round in program history and it makes him the fourth best performing golfer. He had five birdies and a bogey on the front nine. He then birdied two more holes on the back nine before ending his day with an eagle on 18.

Yim also ties for the fifth lowest single round and the fourth best performing golfer. Overall, he is at 139 (73-66) and now sits a stroke back of Buck in third place. His first eight holes had a little bit of everything as he had a par on one before posting four birdies, a bogey, a double, and an eagle on six. The eagle is his second of the tournament after doing so on 18 yesterday. The back nine was super clean with six pars and three birdies.

Jonas DeLeon (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) is the championship leader with a 136 (66-70). He has a two stroke lead on Buck as the Bulldogs sit one-two-three with 18 holes remaining. He birdied each of his first three holes. After a run of eight-straight holes with no birdies he finished his round with three across the final seven to finish one under par on the front and back nine.

Damon Bartells (Sacramento, CA) is 15th with a 142 (72-70). He shot a three-under 34 through nine holes of play. On the backside he was a respectable one over par with a 35 as he had a 5-3 birdie-to-bogey ratio on the day.

For the lowest shooting Bulldog during round two, Cohen Gladheim (Sherwood, OR) still shot an even par 72 placing him fifth and is the final Bulldog inside the Top-10 of the overall standings sitting 10th with a 141 (69-72). He birdied holes five, six, 12, and 18 and had four bogeys as well. He never sat more than a stroke over par during the round.

The Bulldogs will be up early tomorrow morning as they look to maintain their massive lead with tee times between 7:45 and 8:21 a.m.
