Jacob Huset and Ella Bachmeier are 10th and 14th after day one of multis at NCAA Outdoor Championships

<p><em><a href="/documents/2025/5/22/NCAA_Division_III_Outdoor_Track___Field_Championships_5-22-25.pdf" rel="noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Results</strong></a></em></p> <p><strong>GENEVA, Ohio – </strong>Four University of Redlands Track & Field multi athletes completed day one of their events at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio Thursday.</p> <p><strong>Jacob Huset (Tacoma, WA)</strong> is the highest ranked Bulldog currently in 10<sup>th</sup> place with 3,466 points after five of 10 events in the Decathlon. He is 322 points behind the leader, but only 49 points out of the eighth and final scoring position. In the 100m (11.00) he finished third. After taking 16<sup>th</sup> place and 12th place in the Long Jump (6.34m) and Shot Put (11.07m), respectively he sat in 12<sup>th</sup> overall.  But he posted a ninth place finish in the High Jump (1.82) and 10<sup>th</sup> in the 400m (51.43) to get to 10<sup>th</sup> overall, three spots higher than his 13<sup>th</sup> seed coming in.</p> <p><strong>Corte Peterson (Tabernash, CO)</strong> is currently 12<sup>th</sup> with 3,394 points. He finished ninth in the 100m (11.29) and third in the Long Jump (6.77m), which had him fifth overall. He then finished his day with a 13<sup>th</sup> place finish in the Shot Put (10.70m), 19<sup>th</sup> place finish in the High Jump (1.73m), and 12<sup>th</sup> place finish in the 400m (51.66). Peterson is 394 points out of the lead and 121 points out of the final scoring position.</p> <p>The final five Decathlon events are the 110m Hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin, and the 1500m. The Bulldogs begin at 7:00 a.m. pacific daylight time (PDT) Friday.  </p> <p>In the Heptathlon <strong>Ella Bachmeier (Rancho Capistrano, CA)</strong> leads the two Bulldogs in 14<sup>th</sup> place with 2,828 points, which is 448 points behind the leader and 112 outside the top-eight scoring spots. She began the day with a sixth place finish in the 100m Hurdles (14.73). Then across her final three events she took 18<sup>th</sup> in the High Jump (1.51m), 12<sup>th</sup> in the Shot Put (10.27m), and 10<sup>th</sup> in the 200m (26.30).</p> <p><strong>Elisabeth Eichinger (Yucaipa, CA)</strong>, who is coming off a career performance at the Redlands Final Qualifier last week, is competing in her first NCAA Championship, currently sitting in 20<sup>th</sup> place with 2,577 points. She is 201 points outside the 16<sup>th</sup> and final All-American position. On the day she took 18<sup>th</sup> in the 100m Hurdles (15.61), 20<sup>th</sup> in the High Jump (1.48m), 21<sup>st</sup> in the Shot Put (9.46m), and 18<sup>th</sup> in the 200m (26.89).</p> <p>The final three events for the Heptathletes are the Long Jump, Javelin, and 800m which begin at 8 a.m. PDT Friday. <strong>Mari Evonuk (Sherwood, OR) </strong>will also start and finish the High Jump at 8:30 a.m.</p>
