PENFIELD, N.Y. – Aaron Buck (Tualatin, OR) wrapped up his final nine holes Friday at the NCAA Men's Golf Championships as he tied for fifth overall with a 289 (77-68-72-72). It is the best individual finish for the University of Redlands since Bobby Holden in 2014 when he won the individual championship.
Buck played round three and the first nine holes of round four Thursday then finished his final nine holes on Friday. He finished off the back nine with eight birdies and a bogey to secure a third-straight 72 or lower round.
Buck came into the championships as the 20th ranked golfer in the country nearly carrying the Bulldogs past the cut line two days ago.
