LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The University of Redlands Track and Field teams competed at the Occidental Invitational Saturday afternoon where they had eight finishes within the Top-2.
Men
In the 110m Hurdles Jacob Huset (Tacoma, WA) took second with a time of 15.47. He was also the second leg of the winning 4x400 relay team (3:17.84) that included Jude Holling (Sylmar, CA), Patrick Lang II (San Antonio, TX), and Aram Sarkissian (Newbury Park, CA).
Corte Peterson (Tabernash, CO) was the runner-up in the Pole Vault (4.55m, 14' 11"), Allyn Asberry-Blanco (Orange County, NY) also took second in the Triple Jump (13.97m, 45' 10") thanks to a sixth attempt mark, Tyler Davies (Lake Forest, CA) finished second in the Shot Put (14.48m, 47' 6.25"), and Odis Hamer won the Discus (41.17m, 135' 1").
Women
The Bulldogs were led by new Top-10 times in the 5000m by Eve Mavy (Thayne, WY) and Kiera Beyer (Beaverton, OR). Mavy ran a 17:55.32, the fifth-fastest time in program history, and Beyer ran an 18:16.29, the ninth-fastest. The third Top-10 mark came from Mari Evonuk (Sherwood, OR) who cleared 1.65m, 5' 5" in the High Jump, the fifth-best mark, as she won the event.
The 4x400 relay team of Ella Bachmeier (Rancho Capistrano, CA), Faith Kasper (Menifee, CA), Sabrina Semmere (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA), and Elisabeth Eichinger (Yucaipa, CA) took second (3:55.15).
The Franson Last Chance Meet hosted by Azusa Pacific University awaits the Bulldogs on May 9-10.
