PALM DESERT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Golf team opened the fall portion of their 2025-26 schedule at the NCAA Division III Preview in Palm Desert, CA (Desert Willow Golf Club - Firecliff) where they finished in 11th place with a 617 (304-313).
Round 1 (11th - 304)
Savanah Christenson (Upland, CA) was the highest ranked Bulldog on Day 1 finishing in 33rd place after shooting a three over par 75. She birdied the sixth and 14th holes.
Kylie McGrath (Renton, WA) and Chloe Phan (Milpitas, CA) were one shot and 11 places behind Christenson with a 76. McGrath birdied seven, which put her only one over par after the first nine holes. Phan on the other side had birdies on six and 11.
Cecili Hayes (Vancouver, WA) and Jizelle Robledo (Fontana, CA) sat in 62nd and 67th place with a 77 and 80. Hayes birdied the first hole of her collegiate career along with 11 and 18. Robledo had two birdies, on seven and 15.
Round 2 (14th – 313)
The biggest mover on Day 2 was Robledo who advanced 26 positions into 41st place after shooting a second round 73. She posted 10 pars and added a birdie through her first 11 holes.
Tied with Robledo was Phan who finished her tournament with a 77. She ended her afternoon with nine-straight pars.
McGrath and Christenson finished tied for 61st. McGrath shot an 81 and Christenson an 82, with each adding a birdie.
Hayes finished in 71st with a second round 85. Her front nine had one par and eight bogeys. The final nine holes, though, were much cleaner as she shot three over par with five pars and a birdie.
On October 6-7 Redlands will travel to San Antonio, Texas for the Alamo City Classic taking place at The Quarry Golf Club.
