HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The University of Redlands Men's Golf team shot a second round 303 as their two-round total moved to 600 (297-303) and they sit in a tie for 18th place with one round remaining at the NCAA Division III Preview.
Jay Wing (Riverside, CA) maintains the top spot for Redlands, though his 76 was the lowest of his first five rounds as a Bulldog currently sitting in a tie for 15th place, six shots behind second place. He has a 144 (68-76) through 36 holes. He had two birdies and four bogeys.
Cohen Gladheim (Sherwood, OR) is 53rd with a 149 (73-76). In round two he had a birdie, bogey, and seven pars through the first nine holes, but three bogeys on the final nine dropped him down the leaderboard adding four additional strokes.
Logan Benintend (Carlsbad, CA) dropped a pair of strokes off his first round as he shot a 76 and is now 91st with a 154 (78-76). His first five holes were very eventful, shooting three bogeys and two birdies.
The biggest mover on the day for Redlands was Ben Tieu (Tualatin, OR) who moved into 104th, an improvement of ten positions. He is at 156 (81-75) through 36 holes. He had only two bogeys with a birdie through the first 10 holes. He also added a birdie on his second-to-last hole to drop an extra stroke off his total.
Dropping to 111th is William Rinehart (Denver, CO) who posted an 82, pushing his total to 160 (78-82). His lone birdie came on 14.
The Bulldogs wrap up the three-day event Tuesday morning, September 23 trailing the Top 10 by 12 strokes.
