RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's Golf team opened their 2026 schedule close to home Monday afternoon at Victoria Club during the West Coast Classic in a tie for seventh place with the Master's University after shooting an opening 306.
The Bulldogs are currently a shot back of No. 6 Chapman (305) and two behind No. 6 Cal Lutheran (304) and Lewis & Clark (304).
Cohen Gladheim (Sherwood, OR) is leading the way in a tie for ninth after posting a 74. He bogeyed four of his first five holes before adding 10 pars and two birdies the rest of the day.
Jay Wing (Riverside, CA) is two back of Gladheim after a 76. He is tied for 21st after converting on 11 pars and two birdies.
Himmat Singh (Santa Barbara, CA) and Logan Benintend (Carlsbad, CA) are both tied for 35th with 78's. Singh had 10 pars and a birdie and Benintend added eight pars and three birdies. Rounding out the lineup was William Rinehart (Denver, CO) who shot an 81 placing him 61st.
The other three Bulldogs competing as individuals included Ben Tieu (Tualatin, OR) (74 - 9th Place), Jesse Pelletier (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) (76 - 21st Place) and Matthew Thorig (Mentone, CA) (80 - 58th Place).
Redlands completes the classic with the second round tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10.
