PEORIA, Ariz. – The University of Redlands women's golf team finished second at the George Fox Westbrook Village Invitational over the weekend where they shot a 592 (305-287). This marks three consecutive runner-up finishes for the Bulldogs to begin 2026.
Their second round 287 was tied for the lowest during day two action and is tied for the third-lowest team round score in program history.
Kylie McGrath (Renton, WA) and Jizelle Robledo (Fontana, CA) led the Bulldogs as co-eighth place finishers with 147's. McGrath dropped three strokes off her first round, going from 75 to 72. She did not have a par Saturday, but on Sunday she had three to finish one over.
Robledo shot a 76 Saturday before shooting an even par 71 across the final 18 holes. She had an up and down first round with eight bogeys, seven pars, and three birdies. Sunday, however, she bogeyed only two holes as she never sat worse than par.
Cecili Hayes (Vancouver, WA) and Chloe Phan (Milpitas, CA) each tied for 16th with 150's. Hayes went 78-72. She bogeyed six holes on her first 18 before posting four birdies during her final 18.
Phan had a string of seven consecutive holes without a bogey to end her first round and she had only one bogey over her final 10 holes Sunday.
A few spots down in 21st sat Savanah Christenson (Upland, CA) who shot a 153 (81-72). She was 10 over on the day Saturday but only one on her final round. She had birdies on one and five and then had a string of 15-straight holes with only two bogeys to complete her tournament.
Redlands will have this weekend off before making the cross-country trek to Georgia for the Jekyll Island Invitational on March 20-22.
