LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced 2026 baseball awards with the University of Redlands' head coach Aaron Holley, and assistants Chris Hernandez, Nick Theodorou, Steve Hernandez, Cameron Kundig, Will Daniels, and Chris Paterson, earning SCIAC Coaching Staff of the Year (CSOTY) honors.
The CSOTY award was first given in 2015, and this is the first time Holley has earned the distinction. His Bulldogs received four All-SCIAC selections with Nate Miller on the first team and Jesse Bullard, Joe Godoy, and Ian Umscheid on the second team. Redlands finished third in the regular season and earned the No. 3 seed in the SCIAC Tournament.
During SCIAC play the Bulldogs offense was fourth in runs scored (182), fifth in batting average (.306), fifth in on-base percentage (.407), third in slugging percentage (.488), second in walks drawn (123), and third in home runs (32).
On the mound their pitching staff combined for the sixth-best earned run average (5.98), tied for first in saves (6), and were second in strikeouts (185).
Defensively they were second in total chances (886), first in putouts (628), third in assists (222), fourth in fewest stolen bases allowed (24), and tied for second in fewest passed balls (3).
Holley and the Bulldogs begin the SCIAC Tournament tomorrow, Thursday, as the No. 3 seed against No. 2 seeded Pomona-Pitzer at 3 p.m. in Claremont. The tournament is double elimination so regardless of the result they will be playing again at 3 p.m. on Friday.
