REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Football team officially announced their 2024 schedule Wednesday, which kicks off with a home game inside Ted Runner Stadium on Saturday, September 7 at 7:00 p.m. against Northwest Conference opponent George Fox University.
The Bulldogs' schedule features nine regular season games and a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason contest. Five of the nine games will occur at home. The Maroon and Grey will split home and away for their two non-conference match-ups. .
GFU went 4-6 in 2023, which included a 16-7 loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS).
After the GFU game Redlands has a bye week before they head to Oregon to play Linfield University on September 21 at 1:00 p.m. The Wildcats went 8-1 in 2023 and currently ranked No. 23 in the D3football Division III Preseason polls.
Defending 2023 SCIAC Champion Chapman University will be inside Ted Runner Stadium on Sept. 28 for Tailgate with a Cop and Take a Kid to the Game Night. They finished first in the Surf Division after going 6-4, 6-2 SCIAC. The Panthers are currently receiving votes in the D3football.com Preseason poll.
Beginning October Redlands hosts the University of La Verne (ULV) on Oct. 5 at 7:00 p.m. The Bulldogs will go to La Verne on November 2 at 1:00 p.m. The Leopards finished last in the Sun Division with a 2-8, 1-7 SCIAC record.
Sun Division winner Pomona-Pitzer hosts Redlands on Oct. 12 at 7:00 p.m. The Bulldogs then host the Sagehens on November 9 at 1:00 p.m. The Sagehens went 6-4, 5-3 SCIAC.
The Bulldogs play their second game of their two-game road trip on Oct. 19 at 7:00 p.m. as they make the long trip to Thousand Oaks to face California Lutheran University (CLU).
Ending October the U of R will host Claremont-M-S for Homecoming at Ted Runner on Oct. 26 at 7:00 p.m. The Stags went 6-2 and tied for the Surf Division title but lost the tiebreaker to Chapman. CMS was 8-2 overall in 2023.
At the end of the regular season the Bulldogs will play in a SCIAC Postseason game that is determined by the final standings with the No. 1, 2, and 3 teams playing each other.

- George Fox (4-3): Lost at home 38-31 in 2022. Had previously won three in-a-row prior to that.
- Linfield (1-10): Lost their last four to the Wildcats. The lone win came at home in 2019.
- Chapman (15-6): Won by 17 points last season. The two sides have alternated wins since 2014-15 when Redland's lost consecutive games.
- La Verne (21-1): The lone loss came in 2015, but have won the last eight meetings including a 2-0 mark last year.
- Pomona-Pitzer (19-4): Despite the great historical record, the Bulldogs have lost their last two match-ups against the Sagehens and three of their last four.
- California Lutheran (14-7): Have won their last 10 games after the Kingsmen went on a five-game winning streak.
- Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (16-7): Lost both games in 2023. Their current four-game losing streak is the longest in series history.
