CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Cross Country teams split across two meets on Saturday morning with some in Southern California and the others in Oregon. The men took 15th at the Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) Invitational, while the women did not place as only Julia Maksymiw (Plainville, CT) ran.
As a team the Bulldogs averaged a 28:14 for the 8K race. Brock Norseth (Sandy, UT) was the highest finisher in 86th place with a 27:15.2. Alejandro Medina (San Bernardino, CA) was 115th with a 27:59.6.
The other two Bulldogs inside the Top-150 of the 233-runner race were Eric Schulz (Torrance, CA) and Raphael Noa (Torrance, CA). Shulz was 128th with a 28:19.5. Noa finished 133rd and ran a 28:30.3.
Maksymiw came in 205th place with a time of 28:53.8 across the 6000m. She was very consistent through each of her splits, placing as high as 201st after 1.3 and 2.1 miles, but never lower than her finishing position.
The Bulldogs will be at the Highlander Invitational hosted by University of California, Riverside two weeks from now on Saturday, October 18 at 8:00 a.m.
