CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Cross Country teams completed the 2025 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships Saturday morning at Pomona-Pitzer with the men taking fourth and the women seventh
Men
The Bulldogs finished nine points behind the University of La Verne for third place, while host Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) went 1-2.
Stian Asper (St. Paul, MN) once again led the way for the Maroon and Grey with a third-place finish. He ran a 24:52.1, less than two seconds behind second place.
Behind Asper was David Huggins (Salem, OR) in 11th place with a 25:41.20 as he missed a Top-10 finish by only 0.30 seconds.
The rest of the scoring Bulldogs were Max Schaller (San Diego, CA) in 26th with a 26:32.0, Matthew Farnsworth (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) in 36th (26:59.2), and Carlos Arias (Redlands, CA) in 49th (27:12.1). Kallen Gragg (Redlands, CA) (27:23.6), Joseph O'Donnell (Fullerton, CA) (27:27.5), and Alejandro Medina (San Bernardino, CA) (27:33.9) were the other three inside the Top-60, finishing 55th, 57th, and 60th.
Women
Kiera Beyer (Beaverton, OR) was the top-finishing Bulldog in 34th with a 23:57.1 across the 6,000m race. Elaine Dugmore (Hawthorne, CA) also finished inside the Top-50 with a 24:37.40 that earned her 50th.
Eve Mavy (Thayne, WY) took 73rd (26:01.6), Madison Schaefer (Portland, OR) ran a personal best 26:26.1 placing 78th, Marielle Gomez (Taos, NM) also had a personal best, running a 27:07.4 (88th), and Eleanor Bachmeier (Rancho Capistrano, CA) ran a personal best 27:39.1 (91st). Isabella Anderson (Severn, MD) (27:55.9), Nina Cardoza (San Bernardino, CA) (29:12.1), and Julia Maksymiw (Plainville, CT) (29:15.0) took 95th, 97th, and 98th.
Redlands competes on the same course in two weeks at the NCAA West Regional Championships on November 15 starting at 11:00 a.m.
