SALEM, Ore. – The University of Redlands Cross Country team wrapped up Saturday competition at the Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational where their top seven men's and women's runners competed and guided the Bulldogs to an early test on the upcoming West Regional course placing 12th and 22nd, respectively.

Men

After posting four Top-20 times in program history last weekend, the Bulldogs put together arguably the best combined time from five runners in program history with Stian Asper (St. Paul, MN), David Huggins (Salem, OR), and Max Schaller (San Diego, CA) improving on those times, which now all rank inside the Top-11.

Asper was the highest finishing Bulldog in 22nd place with a 24:26.8, improving his second-fastest time in program history by 0.5 seconds.

Huggins ran the new ninth-fastest time at 25:10.7 and came across the line in 56th. It improves his previous mark by 10.5 seconds.

Schaller took 70th with the 11th-fastest time in program history at 25:24.0, a 7.3-second improvement.

The final four Bulldogs scoring were Matthew Farnsworth (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) in 99th (25:47.1), Carlos Arias (Redlands, CA) in 125th (26:13.3, personal best by 10.3 seconds), Kallen Gragg (Redlands, CA) in 131st (26:21.3, personal best by 28.4), and Joseph O'Donnell (Fullerton, CA) in 186th (27:12.64).

As a team the Bulldogs averaged a 20:20 across 5000m. Three Bulldogs finished inside the Top-140 of the 285-runner race.

Kiera Beyer (Beaverton, OR) led all Bulldog runners in 75th place with a time of 18:56.4.

Eve Mavy (Thayne, WY) and Elaine Dugmore (Hawthorne, CA) each came in the 130s placing 134th and 138th. Mavy ran a 19:56.8 and Dugmore a 20:00 flat.

Isabella Anderson (Severn, MD) ran her 5K in 21:08.9 and finished 202nd. The other three Bulldogs were Madison Schaefer (Portland, OR) (224th | 21:41.9), Marielle Gomez (Taos, NM) (245th | 22:37.9), and Eleanor Bachmeier (Rancho Capistrano, CA) (258th | 23:35.8).
