CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Track and Field team competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Saturday where two new women's outdoor Top-10 times were set.
Men
Jude Holling (Sylmar, CA) had a strong afternoon as he posted three Top-8 finishes including two personal bests. He finished fourth in the 400m with a personal best time of 48.18. Then in the 110m Hurdles he ran a 15.03, a personal best. In the 4x400 relay he and Aram Sarkissian (Newbury Park, CA), Jacob Huset (Tacoma, WA), and Patrick Lang II (San Antonio, TX) combined for a second place finish in 3:16.59.
Derek Pangilinan (Rosamond, CA) ran a personal best time of 49.25 and took 10th in the 400m. In the 4x100 relay he and Gabriel Meunier (Winslow, AZ), Lang II, and Jaiden Coleman (Las Vegas, NV) took eighth in 42.70.
In the triple jump Allyn Asberry-Blanco (Orange County, NY) was unable to replicate his personal best at Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Quad Cup No. 2 a couple of weeks ago, but he still jumped 13.52m, 44' 4.25" and finished fourth.
In the throws Tyler Davies (Lake Forest, CA) took sixth in the Shot Put (14.72m, 48' 3.5"). Odis Hamer set personal bests in the Shot Put (10.27m, 33' 8.5") and the Discus (43.15m, 141' 7"). Christian Ferguson (Chula Vista, CA) finished fourth in the Hammer (49.12m, 161' 2") and Sebastian Saucedo (Modesto, CA) took 21st in the Hammer (40.31m, 132' 3") with a personal best mark.
Women
Maigan Adams (Los Angeles, CA) led the new Top-10 marks winning the Triple Jump with a third jump of 12.22m, 40' 1.25". That resets her program second best mark. She is 0.23m, 9" off the recorder holder Natalie Calderon from 2008.
The second new Top-10 time came from the 4x400 relay team of Ella Bachmeier (Rancho Capistrano, CA), Faith Kasper (Menifee, CA), Sabrina Semmere (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA), and Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR) who finished fourth in 3:57.87, the seventh fastest time in program history.
Bachmeier added two more Top-8 finishes as she took fourth in the 100m Hurdles (14.79) and combined with Sabrina Tanouye (Elkhart Lake, WI), Semmere, and Adams for a fifth place finish in the 4x100 relay (48.63).
Mari Evonuk (Sherwood, OR) finished fourth with a High Jump clearance of 1.55m, 5' 1". Keegan Sherry (Shoreline, WA) took sixth in the Javelin (34.59m, 113' 6").
This week the Bulldogs will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University from April 17-19.
