NCAA Women's Golf Championship Selection Release
INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA announced the 2025 Women's Golf National Championship selections Tuesday and earning an At-Large selection was the University of Redlands Women's Golf team who will compete for a national title for the sixth consecutive season and the third under Head Coach Jamie Zantua.
The National Championships are being hosted by Christopher Newport University in Williamsburg, Virginia next week on Tuesday-Friday, May 13-16 at the Kingsmill Resort & Spa.
There are 34 teams that made the field, and Redlands is one of only nine teams that earned an At-Large selection. It is a 72-hole, four-round competition, but after two rounds and 36 holes the field will be cut down to the Top-15 teams and Top-6 individuals not on one of the 15 rosters.
Redlands is one of three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) schools to participate along with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer.
This season the Bulldogs are ranked No. 14 in the Division III national rankings according to Clippd. Rena Kaneko (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA) is the highest ranked Bulldog at No. 43. She is followed by Chloe Phan (Milpitas, CA) at No. 68, Jizelle Robledo (Fontana, CA) at No. 117, Jett Legacion (Redlands, CA) at No. 125, Savanah Christenson (Upland, CA) at No. 144, and Kylie McGrath (Renton, WA) at No. 151. The Bulldogs will be traveling Kaneko, a 2nd Team All-SCIAC performer and the SCIAC Newcomer of the Year, Robledo who was also selected to the All-SCIAC 2nd Team and Christenson who landed on the All-SCIAC 1st Team.
Redlands will look to improve upon four-straight Top-6 finishes at the Championships including their highest in 2022 when they were the national runners-up.
