REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Cross Country teams opened their 2025 season at the Redlands Invitational Saturday morning with Stian Asper (St. Paul, MN) leading the men's team to the team title and Kiera Beyer (Beaverton, OR) leading the women to a second place finish.
Men
Asper ran the 6K in 19:12.6 and won the race by 3.6 seconds over teammate David Huggins (Salem, OR). Three other Bulldogs finished inside the Top-10 with Max Schaller (San Diego, CA) placing fifth in 19:29.7, freshman Carlos Arias (Redlands, CA) sixth in 19:32.5, and Matthew Farnsworth (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) placing seventh with a time of 19:49.8.
Women
Beyer had a strong race, winning the 4.5K in 17:37.2, 5.7 seconds ahead of the runner-up from California Institute of Technology. Eve Mavy (Thayne, WY) was the second Bulldog inside the Top-10 placing sixth with a 19:02.0.
The Bulldogs will compete next Saturday, September 6 at 8:00 a.m. when they compete in San Bernardino at the CSU San Bernardino Coyote Challenge.
