SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The University of Redlands Cross Country teams made the short trip to CSU San Bernardino for their Coyote Challenge Saturday morning where the men's team finished as runners-up and the women placing fourth.
Men
Leading the charge for the men was Stian Asper (St. Paul, MN) who finished ninth overall with a time of 25:31.0. A few places behind Asper was David Huggins (Salem, OR) in 13th with a 25:52.0.
The other three Bulldogs inside the Top-30 out of 94 runners competing included Max Schaller (San Diego, CA) in 19th (26:17.1), Carlos Arias (Redlands, CA) in 27th (26:32.1), and Matthew Farnsworth (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) in 29th (26:37.7).
Women
Kiera Beyer (Beaverton, OR) who won the Redlands Invitational last Saturday, finished 18th and ran a 19:22.8 across 5,000m. Eve Mavy (Thayne, WY) was the other Bulldog inside the Top-50, coming in 42nd place with a time of 20:35.2.
Elaine Dugmore (Hawthorne, CA) and Madison Schaefer (Portland, OR) were 54th and 59th with times of 21:17.8 and 21:37.2, respectively.
The Bulldogs get two Saturdays off before heading down to Riverside for the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday, September 27.
