LAUGNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the 2026 track and field awards with University of Redlands' senior multi athlete Elisabeth Eichinger (Yucaipa, CA) being named the SCIAC Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
She is the Bulldogs' third consecutive women's field athlete of the year after Maigan Adams won the award each of the previous two seasons.
Eichinger scored two points as the anchor leg of the 4x100 relay team that consisted of Sabrina Tanouye (Elkhart Lake, WI), Sabrina Semmere (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA), and Aniah Perry (Victorville, CA) who took second in 47.89.
In the Long Jump she was third for six points with a 5.43m, 17' 9 ¾" mark that came on her sixth and final attempt.
Then in the Heptathlon she won the event with 4,767 points, a new meet record and second-highest total in program history.
Her other four other points came from a sixth-place finish in the 100m Hurdles (15.42) and a fourth-place finish along with Tanouye, Semmere, and Madison Schaefer (Portland, OR) in the 4x400 relay (4:02.44).
Eichinger is 15th in the country with her Heptathlon total. She needs to finish inside the Top-22 to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She will have one more chance to improve upon that total, and her other event marks, at the Redlands Final Qualifier this Wednesday-Thursday, May 13-14 inside Ted Runner Stadium.
