CSC Baseball Academic All-District Release
AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 Baseball Academic All-District members, and being selected from the University of Redlands was Gabriel Ceja (Long Beach, CA), Will Cell (Seattle, WA), Luke De Vries (Irvine, CA), Kaiya Saito (Bellevue, WA), and Nate Miller (San Jose, CA).
Selected student-athletes are recognized as the top performers in the nation for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
Ceja is a two-time selection after making the team in 2023. He finished his final season with the Bulldogs hitting .307 with a .382 on-base percentage (OBP). He was a Business Administration major and plans to become a Financial Advisor.
Cell earns the honor for the second-straight season. He hit .307 with a .381 OBP. He was particularly strong in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play when he hit .333 with a .408 OBP and 10 of his 14 runs batted in (RBI). He was a History major and is undecided on his postgraduate plans.
De Vries is the lone Bulldog to make the All-District team in all three of his eligible seasons, freshmen are not eligible. He got off to a slow start before finishing third on the team in batting average (.340) and second in OBP (.450). He had a team-high 54 hits, 40 runs scored, and 24 walks. He graduated last fall with a degree in Economics, and he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Analytics, which he plans to complete next spring.
Saito makes his first appearance on the All-District team. He had the best season of his career this spring. He hit .361, which would have been a team-best if he qualified with enough plate appearances (PA). In SCIAC play he qualified and led the team with a .396 average. He was second on the team with two triples and drove in 13 runs. He also graduated last year with a degree in Business Administration. He is currently enrolled in the Marketing program and is on course to earn his MBA.
Miller is a first-year eligible selection. He led the team with eight home runs and was second with 33 RBI's despite missing five games. He is an Engineering major and is undecided on his postgraduate plans.
